Security forces have neutralised two terrorists in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. In Kulgam’s Wampura, the police had received intelligence that two terrorists were hiding, after which the encounter started.
Security forces had received input that both the terrorists were from Lashkar-e-Taiba. Now the officials have clarified that both the terrorists belong to Hizbul Mujahideen. Both have not been identified yet.
After getting the input, the security forces conducted a joint search operation against the terrorists. According to sources, at least two terrorists were hiding in Wampura area, who were trying to carry out major terrorist incident. But before that, the security forces neutralised them.
Earlier, security forces had also called the housemates of the terrorists to the encounter site. The family members of the terrorists had appealed them to surrender to the army but terrorists refused to surrender, after which the security forces neutralised them.
