Watch: IED Recovered By Indian Army On Srinagar-Baramulla National Highway

A major attack was averted in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. The Indian Army’s Road Opening Party received an IED on the Srinagar-Baramulla National Highway. It was planted by suspected terrorists in Tappar village of Pattan in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district. The IED has been defused.

On August 5 last year, Article 370 was abrogated from Jammu and Kashmir and J&K was declared as an Union Territory. Tomorrow is the first anniversary of the removal of Article 370. According to the intelligence report, the terrorists may carry out major attacks on August 5. Security agencies are vigilant about this.

A intensive search operation is being carried out all over Jammu and Kashmir. With this, curfew has been imposed in Srinagar district with immediate effect. This curfew will continue on August 4 and 5. The administration has received reports that some separatist organizations may protest.

After this, the curfew order was issued by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir. This order said that we have received a report that some separatists and Pakistan-backed organizations are going to celebrate ‘Black Day’ in the district on August 5. Due to this, curfew has been imposed in Srinagar district.
