Indian Army troops conducted rescue operations for evacuation of villagers in flash flood affected areas in Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand.
An Indian army column was deployed in Dharchula area to rescue villagers after heavy rains caused flood in the area. Several villages were cut off after connecting roads were washed away due to flood.

Indian Army is also providing Logistics & Medical Aid to the locals. The army said that the rescue operation is still in progress.
