On Sunday, 5 brave soldiers of security forces lost their lives in an encounter with terrorists in Handwara, Jammu and Kashmir. During the terrorist encounter, Five soldiers including two army officers lost their lives in this operation. The soldiers who lost their lives include a colonel, a major, two army personnel and a sub-inspector of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
Colonel Ashutosh Sharma who was leading the operation in Handwara, lost his life in this encounter. He was the commanding officer of the 21 Rashtriya Rifles unit. Colonel Ashutosh Sharma was cremated today at Jaipur.

Colonel Ashutosh Sharma was a resident of Bulandsahr in Uttar Pradesh. His family lives in Rangauli Garden Area in Jaipur
