Vir Chakra is the third highest honour after the Param Vir Chakra and Mahavir Chakra, given in the army for gallantry at the time of war. On February 27, after the Balakot Air Strike, Pakistani aircraft tried to attack the Indian Army bases but Wing Commander Abhinandan had killed an F-16 fighter plane of Pakistan in this dogfight between India & Pakistan.
Wing Commander Abhinandan has recently passed the medical test of Indian Air Force. With this, Abhinandan will now be able to fly soon. A body testing institute of pilot’s fitness, The Bangalore-based Institute of Aerospace Medicine, declared wing commander Abhinandan fit to fly.
Sources told that there is some paperwork left. After its completion Abhinandan will have to take a course because he has not flown for a long time. On completion of the course, Abhinandan will be able to fly once again.
